Brown Pelican

Digital Art by BZTAT

Just for today, I want to remember the beautiful Brown Pelican without sticky, gooey oil gluing it’s feather’s to it’s fragile body.

I cannot look at the horrifying images coming from the Gulf of Mexico anymore. It hurts too much.

Please, let’s have no debate here about the politics of it all.

Let us just take a moment to remember this fabulous bird and all the other animals from the Gulf as they were before April 20, 2010 when oil destroyed their habitat.

And hope for their resilience as the future beckons.
